Entrelac

I've been knitting for nearly as long as I can remember, at least 20 years if not slightly more. I have been tried several different methods and techniques, but I've never tried Entrelac. In fact I hadn't even heard of it till recently. It is a technique that creates what looks to be basketwoven squares, yet it is all done in one piece. From what I've read, it is considered an easy technique to learn and I am interested in adding this kind of knitting to my repertoire. Some examples of entrelac can be found here: http://knittyotter.typepad.com/otterknits/2007/03/entrelac_scarf_.html

No one I know of knits entrelac so I will have to depend on the internet to learn it. I think it produces a very unique fabric, one that could be commercially viable due to it's rarity. Now I just need to find the time to sit down and study it further!! In between filling my shop, filling orders and taking care of my home and family it seems as though I will have to stay up late at night just to have time to learn it!
